Paying your bus fare with Snapper
Snapper is a faster, simpler and easier way to pay for low value transactions.
Snapper comes as a card or a USB device for your computer. It stores up to $300 value on it.

From 31 July 2008, if you choose to pay by Snapper you receive a 25% discount off the cash price of a single adult fare* on any GO Wellington bus.

Just tag on by touching it to the Snapper reader as you enter the bus.
Simply place your card up to the reader and hold it still. And tag off as you exit the bus.
The system works out how far you have travelled and charges your card for the length of the trip you have taken. If you fail to tag off, the maximum fare will apply.

SuperGold Card holders (from 1 October 2008)
Travel FREE* between 9.00am and 3.00pm, then after 6.30pm on weekdays and all day on weekends and public holidays.
To take advantage of this you must present your SuperGold Card to the driver.
If you are traveling before 9.00am and between 3.00pm and 6.30pm weekdays, you will be required to pay the full adult fare.
*Excludes Stadium shuttles and special event and promotional fares.
Adult 10 Trip Tickets
From Friday 29 August 2008, adult 10 trip tickets are no longer sold.
You can continue to use your 10 trip ticket until 1 December, 2008 at which time it will no longer be valid.
