Due to a scheduled union stop work meeting, all GO Wellington routes will be unavailable on Wednesday, 3 September between the hours of 10am and 2pm.
Services will be reduced prior to the stop work meeting, from 9am until 10am, and again following it, from 2pm until 4pm.
Full service on all GO Wellington routes will operate until 9am and will resume from 4pm.
School bus services will not be impacted.
“The disruption to services is to allow a scheduled union meeting for our people who are represented by the Wellington Tramways Union,” says Zane Fulljames, General Manager Southern Region. “The meeting will allow union members to discuss a new employment agreement and to conduct branch elections.”
“We apologise for any inconvenience this causes our customers,” says Mr Fulljames. “With advance notice we hope our customers will be able to plan their day’s activities with minimum disruption.”
Valley Flyer, Runcimans, Newlands Coach Services, Mana Coach Services, Tranz Metro and Wellington Cable Car services are unaffected and will continue to operate as normal.
