Disruption to GO Wellington bus services - 7 October 2008
GO Wellington and the Tramways and the Manufacturing and Construction Workers unions reached an agreement on a proposal for a Collective Employment Agreement (CEA) at mediation on Thursday, 2 October.
The unions have agreed to recommend the proposed CEA to their members at a ratification meeting to be held next week.
The ratification meeting will be held on Tuesday, 7 October. It will be conducted between the hours of 10.30am and 1.30pm.
As a result there will be some disruption to GO Wellington services on Tuesday, 7 October:
• All GO Wellington services will be unavailable between the hours of 10am and 2pm.
• Services will be disrupted prior to the meeting, from 9am until 10am, and again following it, from 2pm until 3 pm.
• Full service on all GO Wellington routes will operate until 9am and will resume from 3pm.
GO Wellington would like to apologise to our customers for any inconvenience. With advance notice we hope our customers will be able to plan their day’s activities with minimum disruption.
Valley Flyer, Runcimans, Newlands Coach Services, Mana Coach Services, Tranz Metro and Wellington Cable Car services are unaffected and will continue to operate as normal.
